i dance with worry, i dance with ease

worry gestures me out onto the dancefloor

i move to the music then she takes my hand

we start to do our own tango

& once i think i can handle the commotion

she whispers against my ear: worry 'bout it baby

i let those words stick to my brain

like post-it notes

until ease interrupts us

she drags me away for a little while

reminds me that i can handle

all the mental earthquakes

whenever i try to believe her

worry brings me back again

she sings her siren song

& we tango until the day ends
