Alejandro Rico-Gomez, known for his work in poetry, photography and paint mediums, uses his work to capture and reflect on the slowly fading culture and aesthetic of rural America and it's past. Alejandro was born in Pittsburgh, PA to immigrant parents. Now a high school student in Iowa, his works have earned awards at various regional high school-level art shows for multiple years. Alejandro’s visual works focus on the decaying landscapes and architecture of yesterday’s rural America and he uses his poetry to supplement this, creating a pointed satire of modern America and it’s culture.
